Real Estate in MA & throughout the country has been volatile over the past few years as the market moves from boom to correction.  As we enter the Winter market we find ourselves in a market that has lost significant value.  However, it presents a unique opportunity.  Looking to upgrade?  Now could be that time.  Long term mortgage rates are at an all time low.  While the home you own may have experienced depreciation, the new home you have been thinking about is much more affordable.  The homebuyer tax credit, low rates and attractively priced homes have combined to create what may very well be a once in a life time home buying opportunity.  The homebuyer tax credit has been extended until next April.  1st time buyers will receive the $8,000 credit and others that have lived in their home over the last 5 years will also receive a $6500 tax credit.  Income limits are $125,000 for a single person and $250,000 for a married couple.  This should keep the ball rolling.

This is the 2nd recession my husband and I have lived through...nobody should have to live through more than one.  

Now, an important lesson that I learned from living through 2 recessions is:  When things are good, people think things are always going to be good.  When things are bad, people think things are always going to be bad...and neither is true...there are always going to be corrections in the market...so my advice to you is BUY LOW...SELL HIGH.  Buying a home is the most important investment you will ever make.  It is my job to make sure you have a great investment.
